Dublin Travels

Dublin has always been on my bucket list, so this trip was a dream!

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t want to go to Dublin. It has always been on my list, so when the opportunity came to actually visit, I grabbed it! What better way to be visiting Dublin, than to be attending an epic country music festival with an amazing friend?!

Meg was the perfect travel guide, she had made lists, and had ideas of what we would do each day before the concert. Everything she planned was perfect! We started off with a stroll around Dublin, seeing all of the sights and letting me be a proper tourist!

Find a wall, do a pose. The universe rewarded me with a 2 euro coin!

It was my Gran’s birthday, and since it was the first one without her on this earth, we decided to treat ourselves to coffee and cake at Queen of tarts! Since we called her Queen Joan, we thought this was apt. It was so special spending the day with a special friend, celebrating a special woman.

Meg is also the perfect Instagram wife! She took so many pics of me and never complained once!

One thing I LOVE is all the street art in Dublin. It is honestly so so cool!

The golden snitch!

This was hilarious! We saw on Instagram someone had taken a pic sitting with Oscar Wilde. Looked easy enough. IT WASN’T! It was quite high and super tricky  to get to. I literally freaked out a few times and I stopped myself a few times, thinking I was going to face plant on my first day! But, I got the courage and literally leaped up, not knowing if I would make it or not!

Dublin

So we had this bright idea to climb up for the pic. It was SCARY!

WORTH IT!

Next Meg had planned a trip to Dun Laoghaire for brunch. We took the train and it was such a fun day venturing a little out of Dublin city.

Country music vibes

Little Big Town was PHENOMENAL! Every act was incredible, and we had an amazing 3 nights of country, but for me they were my top two! (If you haven’t read my C2C blog go read it here)

Dublin

Country2Country was AMAZING!

On the Sunday we all ventured out to Powerscourt Estate. It super fancy and the grounds are incredible! We took so many beautiful pics, some are on Instagram, but I could and probably will, do an entire blog on that soon!

Love finding all the street art!

This was at the Guinnes factory believe it or not!

Another BIG tick on my bucket list was being in Dublin for St Paddy’s Day! It just ended up being great timing. I stayed an extra 5 days so I could experience it. Nick came over for work meetings and we did some road tripping through Ireland in between until St Paddy’s Day! It was beyond! We also got to see Connor McGregor 4m away from us! It was so surreal.

Dublin

St Patrick’s Day!! Bucket List tick!

Dublin

Of course I was that girl in the middle of the street!

Dublin

Friend goals!!

I also got a tattoo in Dublin so that’s another bucket list tick!

Dublin

We went and had coffee and donuts before the parade started!

St Paddy’s was the last day in Ireland. The next day I flew to Cardiff. It was so sad to say good bye to Meg and Robert, and of course jack! I’ll be blogging out Irish road trip as well so keep an eye out for that!

Dublin was magical and familiar, and the most unexpected adventure! I ticked off so many amazing things that it will always be one of my favourite trips ever! I know that this is mostly down to Meg, her incredible planning and giving heart. It wouldn’t have been the same without her hard work and excitement! Visit her blog here

See you in Wales…
