Next up is Glasgow!
Isma moved from Edinburgh to Glasgow, so I went to spend a few days with my Scottish bestie.
I’d only ever been to Glasgow with her to shop back in the day, I’d never spent much time there. My main aim was to spend time with her and her wee baby, so we didn’t plan much.
I did however, want to see the beautiful Glasgow university! To me, it looked like something out of Hogwarts, and the Harry Potter nerd in me just had to see it.
How amazing is Glasgow University?
Then we did what we do best, Costa hot chocolate! Nothing really changes with us LOL!
Next I got to see my favourite boss, Peter! I didn’t know he had moved to Glasgow so I had such a nice surprise that I got to see this special human ❤️
My lovely friend Morag (also a Durban girl but we met in Edinburgh in 2006) just happened to be in Glasgow one of the days I was! So we had such an amazing catch up when she had finished her work. I hadn’t had a chance to see her when I was in Edinburgh for a few days in 2011, so this was the best surprise! *We actually met on her hen’s night when I was working on the party bus they were on!
Then Isma took me to HEAVEN! This place was incredible. It was so hard not choosing more than one thing. I had to get the baked cookie dough. We don’t get that here so I went for it! It was delicious!
We went to see the last of the snow up a hill outside of Glasgow. It was quite funny going to the shopping mall and there was still piles of snow in the car park!
It was super sad when she dropped me off at the airport, but I had the best time spending time with her and the wee one. There’s something amazing about having that friendship where it feels like no time has passed in 6 years!
Next on my bucket list trip was my first time….IRELAND!

I’ll see you in Dublin…..
