Monday Motivation

Today’s Monday Motivation is all about having courage. We all need a reminder of that!Orlando shooting

I think this is very apt in light of what has just happened in Orlando. We are so busy complaining and worrying about our small insecurities, where there are way bigger issues in the world!

The LGBT community has to be brave and have courage every single day. Just walking outside of their door and being themselves takes courage on a daily basis. Now they are going to feel even more unsafe because of this malicious attack on who they are. It is NOT Ok. We should all be free to be who we are. No one has the right to attack you or take away your life because you are different or they don’t agree with your lifestyle. They were murdered in a place that they feel comfortable, in their own space. We need to all accept each other more. Spare a thought for everyone going through tough times right now because they are different, and they don’t feel safe.

This is a little reminder for us all.

Have courage.

Be brave.

Do something you have been scared to do. Live more, without fear, because the only person who loses is you. Have courage, and be brave. Join that gym. Go for that run. Book that overseas trip. Take up that new hobby. Befriend that person you see on the bus every day.

Stop worrying about the small things, and look at the bigger picture. There is always someone worse off than you, and I think we forget that. We get so caught up in our own petty problems or what we think are problems when people are fighting way bigger fights than us.

Have courage!

Please think of those that have lost their lives in this tragedy #LoveIsLove

I hope that your post today made people open their eyes and minds. In a world filled with troubles so much bigger than our own perhaps we should be thankful before stressed, happy before sad and mostly grateful for the lives we life and all that we have done. Turn off the small worries – and as a community stand together against hatefullness.
