For today’s Monday Motivation, it is something that speaks to me a lot!
Sometimes we are so busy focusing on other people, outside influences and opportunities that we don’t focus on within. Sometimes you need to radiate your own light from within and let that shine out to show your motivations and worth. Focus on cultivating that special glow that only you possess and make that shine through so that no one can doubt your talent or drive. Focus on yourself and achieving your goals. Keep your head down and get your work done. Don’t worry about anyone else and what they’re doing. Just do you. Be nice, be proactive, work hard and be your shiny self.
Let your talent and drive shine through ✨
Today’s Monday Motivation is all about having courage. We all need a reminder of that!
I think this is very apt in light of what has just happened in Orlando. We are so busy complaining and worrying about our small insecurities, where there are way bigger issues in the world!
The LGBT community has to be brave and have courage every single day. Just walking outside of their door and being themselves takes courage on a daily basis. Now they are going to feel even more unsafe because of this malicious attack on who they are. It is NOT Ok. We should all be free to be who we are. No one has the right to attack you or take away your life because you are different or they don’t agree with your lifestyle. They were murdered in a place that they feel comfortable, in their own space. We need to all accept each other more. Spare a thought for everyone going through tough times right now because they are different, and they don’t feel safe.
This is a little reminder for us all.
Do something you have been scared to do. Live more, without fear, because the only person who loses is you. Have courage, and be brave. Join that gym. Go for that run. Book that overseas trip. Take up that new hobby. Befriend that person you see on the bus every day.
Stop worrying about the small things, and look at the bigger picture. There is always someone worse off than you, and I think we forget that. We get so caught up in our own petty problems or what we think are problems when people are fighting way bigger fights than us.
Please think of those that have lost their lives in this tragedy #LoveIsLove
This is such a small thing in theory, but in practice it makes the world of difference. Something so small as smiling at a stranger, waiting and holding the door open for someone else, helping someone carry their stroller down some stairs, speaking nicely to the teller at the shops. These things seem so simple, yet they can change a person’s whole day.
I think we all tend to lose sight of the bigger picture. We put ourselves down for missing a workout, or having something we told ourselves we couldn’t have during the week. We actually should be congratulating ourselves for actually noticing the difference and wanting to be better. We are still better than we were yesterday. We are still here. We are still trying.
Keep being nice to yourself. Motivate yourself. Be better. You already are
I think it’s so easy to forget that we do actually make an impact on other people’s lives, and that we do have something to offer!
Try and remember that today and don’t be afraid to offer your help and advice to people that may need it.
