I was lucky enough to receive these beautiful wax melts for our retreat. I wish I could post the smell of them! I love that they’re made locally, right here in KZN!
Tell us a bit about your background in the Midlands?
The business started as a leap of faith when Lynnette and her husband went meandering one day in 2002 and came across a small lavender farm for sale in the Midlands. Intrigued, and despite the fields of lavender being small and with little infrastructure, they recognised the huge potential for growth.
When did you start Flowers & Leaves?
Our first products were on the shelf by October 2002, and by December of that year we’d outgrown our first little shop. By June 2003, we built a beautiful new shop on the farm and expanded our product range to 7 different collections.

What is your favourite thing about Flowers & Leaves?
Without a doubt, the fact I get to work with Essential Oils all day, every day. We learnt early on on this journey what incredible healing powers, plant oils possess and that for any ailment, there is an essential oil to treat it. I love being surrounded by all these wonderful scents, I love developing new oil combinations and I love how they make our customers’ lives better.
